The colonial town of Luang Prabang sits between the mountains of northern Laos and the shores of the lazy Mekong River. This town has over thirty Buddhist temples and hundreds of saffron robed monks who walk barefoot each morning to collect alms of sticky rice. The area is home to a diverse population of Lao, Khamu, and Hmong people who sell their beautifully woven and embroidered tapestries in the early-morning market.
